The Speakers - El golpe del pájaro Año: 1964 Albúm: The Speakers (EP) Sello: SV (Sello Vergara) "Esta versión "traducida al castellano" del clásico de los Trashmen, conformada por secuencias onomatopéyicas cantadas de manera instintiva, fue el epígrafe a una corta aunque prolífica carrera, a un ritmo de producción de disco por año, entre 1965 y 1969. La portada del álbum debut de esta banda bogotana es uno de los símbolos visibles de los 60 en la ciudad, con las fotos brumosas en la Estación de la Sabana, procurando lucir como Liverpool" - Andrés Ospina. The Speakers (o Los Speakers en sus últimos discos), son el génesis del Rock en Bogotá. Transitaron sus primeros años entre varias discográficas. El núcleo de la agrupación estuvo conformado por el bogotano Humberto "Humo" Monroy en guitarras y voces, el italiano Roberto Fiorilli en bateria, y el español Rodrigo García en voz y guitarra.
